RSO Snap Counts Privacy Policy
Effective September 19, 2026
Overview
RSO Snap Counts displays NFL snap-count information beside players on supported Reality Sports Online pages. It is an independent community extension and is not affiliated with Reality Sports Online, nflverse, Pro Football Reference, the NFL, or any NFL team.
Information processed
The extension reads player names and NFL team abbreviations already visible on supported RSO pages. This information is processed locally in the browser solely to match players with snap-count records. It is not collected, retained, or transmitted by the extension.
Stored settings
The selected season and a refresh signal are saved using Chrome synchronized storage so the extension can remember the user's choice across browser sessions. No roster, league, account, or authentication information is stored.
Third-party data request
The extension requests the selected season's snap-count CSV directly from an nflverse release hosted by GitHub. GitHub may receive standard web-request information such as an IP address and browser headers under its own privacy practices. The downloaded data is cached temporarily in the extension's background service worker. Snap-count data is provided by nflverse, sourced from Pro Football Reference, and attributed under the nflverse data repository's CC BY 4.0 license.
No tracking or sale of data
The extension contains no analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, or behavioral profiling. It does not sell, rent, share, or transfer user data to the developer or to data brokers.
Permissions
The extension uses Chrome storage for its season preference, accesses the nflverse GitHub release to retrieve data, and runs only on supported RSO lineup, Free Agents, and War Room pages to add on-page badges.
Changes
Material changes to this policy will be reflected on this page and accompanied by an updated effective date.
